Dr. Amanda Moore, PhD

Welcome, and thank you for taking the time to visit my website. I am a clinical psychologist based in Quebec, licensed and in good standing with the Ordre des Psychologues du Québec. I completed my PhD in Clinical Psychology at McGill University and have been providing psychotherapy for the past nine years across both public and private mental health settings. Throughout my work, I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals through a wide range of challenges, and I am deeply committed to offering thoughtful, evidence-based care in a warm, approachable and non-judgemental environment.

I offer both in-person and virtual individual therapy, depending on your preferences and needs. My areas of focus include depressive and anxiety-related concerns, difficulties with emotion regulation, personality-related challenges, body image concerns, relationship issues, and navigating significant life transitions such as separation, divorce, grief, and career changes. I also have experience working within specialized programs for mood and anxiety disorders, eating disorders, and personality disorders, and I strive to bring this breadth of experience into each therapeutic relationship.

My approach to therapy is integrative and tailored to you. I specialize in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)-informed treatment, which can be especially helpful for individuals who feel overwhelmed by their emotions, struggle with impulsivity, or find themselves stuck in patterns of self-sabotage. In addition, I incorporate elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to ensure that our work together reflects your unique needs and goals. Above all, I aim to create a space that is non-judgmental, compassionate, and collaborative—where you feel safe to explore your experiences openly and at your own pace. I value working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and take care to understand each person’s unique story, including aspects of identity such as culture, sexual orientation, and gender.

I understand that taking the first step toward therapy can feel daunting, and it’s completely normal to have questions or uncertainties. If you’re considering beginning this process, I invite you to reach out. I offer a complimentary 10-minute phone consultation so you can ask questions, learn more about my approach, and determine whether working together feels like a good fit. I would be glad to support you as you move toward meaningful and lasting change.
